IN LOVING MEMORY

MARTY ESPINOZA

Jesus was looking at his soccer teams
And He found a vacant place.
He looked down upon this earth,
And saw your tired face.
So he put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
You know Gods teams are Champions
Because he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain
He knew you would not give up
Until you played again.
He saw you had the heart
To suffer through it all
But He knew that you would never heal enough
On earth to ever touch the ball.
So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered "Come to me
I'm taking you to place
Where you can heal
And play eternally."
Although we hated to lose you
When God recruited you away
We now have new hopes and dreams
Of someday getting to see you play.
